I'll split my review into two parts - the property itself, and the service and check in process. It is a former Sonder property (Sonder infamously went bust in Nov 2025). I've stayed at Sonder before, always enjoyed it, and this one is among the top end of my stays. The entire apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, and spare towels that should last for a long term stay. It is good to see that such a nice property is being made available again for short term stays. On the other hand, the new management company (Bellevue District 6, seems to be part of OYO) needs to put more emphasis on providing a smooth guest experience. I had problems with check in (two different room numbers and two different codes provided, one via phone, the other via Expedia message), neither of which worked. Having called again, I was told that one of the codes is correct but to a third room. All good from there until the third day when the code stopped working and I again had to call and wait for a callback to fix the code. I saw other people also trying their codes on seemingly wrong rooms, or on the phone in the lobby to get access codes sorted. It's a great property, but since there is no front desk, the online communication with guests and providing timely and correct check in instructions should be the highest priority. Sadly there's quite some way to go for the new management to get it properly working. Hopefully it's just initial growing pains.

Room was really clean, amenities were nice and neat. Very satisfactory, but the only thing is I had to kinda harass the property number for my access code multiple times. If I didn’t do that I wouldn’t have gotten the access code and would’ve been freezing outside until they reach back time.

It’s actually very beautiful, but unfortunately I had a situation with one of the employees. My check-in time was at 3:00 (between 3:00 and 3:30), and I never received an email explaining anything. I had to call in order to get my code and room number. Also, at 4:44, I was about to take a shower when an employee entered the room saying “hello, hello,” when she should have knocked and made sure first. I was literally about to shower. When she realized someone was inside, she said “sorry, sorry,” but I don’t understand why that happened if it was already past check-in time. Other than that, everything was fine. The employee was not rude, she seemed nervous, but I believe this situation should have been handled before 4:00

The check-in process was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. The listing stated that check-in details would be sent by email 72 hours before arrival, but I never received anything. There was no front desk and no clear way to contact the property directly, so I had to reach out to Expedia for help. Expedia could only confirm my booking and couldn’t provide access details. After being on hold with customer service for over 25 minutes, I was finally able to get through to the property, and I didn’t receive my check-in information until about two hours before check-in, which was extremely inconvenient. That said, once I was finally inside, the room itself was great and honestly felt like a tiny apartment. The maintenance staff runs a tight ship and keeps everything super clean and well organized, which I really appreciated.

The accommodations were well-maintained, and the hotel's location is highly desirable, directly opposite the train station and surrounded by numerous dining establishments. The sole area for improvement identified was the check-in process, which proved to be quite cumbersome.

First time booking through Hotels.com, totally mismatch according to star rating & rates. Very strange approach, got call 2 days before stay that "can you do payment right now during this call" even choose payment at hotel. Communication after that was poor (no desk at "hotel". Tried to get heating on since room was freezing cold. No answer. Tried to get wifi password, no answer. Also the building must be badly molded smell was strange and strong

The room itself is very good, but many guests seem to have problems during check-in. It appears that incorrect room numbers are sometimes given, and phone calls often go unanswered. We were lucky to find a staff member, but it could have been very inconvenient if we hadn’t.

After one night at this property, I received an email (as did many) that Sonder was no longer able to honor reservations and we had to vacate by 9am the following day, with zero solutions offered for rebooking or refunds or anything. Hotels.com customer service went to great lengths to help me and in the end the best solution was a refund. The refund processed quickly and I was able to rebook my stay at a far more reputable hotel. Knowing the hotel business- asking us to pack up and be gone by 9am, and nearly all hotels require check-in closer to 3pm meant we would have to wander with luggage for hours. An employee was banging down our door at 9:30am with a “bouncer” to get us out. It was awful, and I believe this terrible company is now defunct. Good riddance!
