This is one half block off Bourbon Street, so there are a lot of things that come with that. Room was really clean and quiet from the inside, my room had a balcony facing the street (which I asked for) so there was some noise from that, however, we did sleep well. Only real complaint, receptionist did not greet, she stayed on her phone as we passed her in the main lobby. The males who serviced the desk were great.
This is where you stay if you’re craving a unique, eclectic, true New Orleans vibe in the heart of the French Quarter. This is not where you stay if you prefer a bright white sterile five star type hotel experience. This place is a nitty gritty funky spectacle. The staff are all friendly, including the cats. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which we loved. We asked for a tour of the casa xtiques rooms which were in a house right across the street and were all spectacular! Overall a quirky and magical place. Will stay again.

We had the most amazing time! Everyone that worked the desk was super friendly and helpful. Not all of our luggage made it on the plane so we were still waiting for one suitcase to arrive - which it finally did 24 hours later. Francis (who loves to the play the guitar and feed the cats on the weekends) let me borrow a phone charger for the day and I returned the next night when he would be coming in. Not sure of his name, but it was Sunday morning and he suggested Wakin’ Bacon for breakfast. I had the egg whites w shrimp and it was delicious. We even went back the next morning. Their sour dough bread was delicious and I wish I had bought the starter kit they had available so I could have brought it home with me. Olivier House Hotel has so much charm. We loved our room - we stayed in 213 and it had a small balcony. The air conditioning worked so well! It was hot and humid while in New Orleans - 90 degrees- and it was great to come back to our cool room and relax before heading out again. Our bed was soooooooo comfortable and we slept so good.
This was the first time my husband had ever been to New Orleans and we can’t wait to go back. I have stayed at numerous other places - but never again. We will only stay at Olivier House Hotel and we have already started talking about going back in the fall!
The hotel was pretty quiet for being close to Bourbon Street, in the heart of things. We found the staff extremely accommodating and helpful. Our room (Petite Loft 2) had a lot of room, but needs a new dresser, as the drawers don't all work. Overall, we found the hotel quirky and charming.
Very lovely old hotel with wonderful front desk staff, funky old NOLA surroundings and well located in the FQ. Loved the private courtyards and pool. As a single woman traveling I felt very safe.
The hotel itself is a little tired …. But really my only complaint was the old shower in the bathroom, didn’t work well, unable to switch from shower to bath and drain did not close.
Overall a lovely stay.
The Olivier House Hotel is very beautiful. On the inside it’s very cute I loved the decor and the vibes, my room was also cute it had its own little touch of vintage decor as well. They also had a few cats that I assume live there it made me love the place more. Definitely was a stay to remember and they had complimentary tea and coffee and cookies too !!
You can hear Bourbon Street in the distance. It looks like something from Interview with a Vampire, which was fantastic for us! We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.
