A remodel a few years ago has removed the old dusty carpets and the new look is sleek. The rooms are very spacious, the area of the French Quarter is remarkably quiet, and the pool was lovely. I'd suggest the give the furniture more vaccuming and dusting, and remove furniture when the upholstery has worn away and the stuffing shows. Also, would be really nice to have an ice water station like so many other hotels, but really appreciate that the substitute was complimentary bottled water. Water is essential in New Orlean.

We had such a fantastic one-night stay! The staff were super friendly and really helpful, especially after our long 10-hour drive. It all started with a big New Orleans welcome at the front desk. We were a little early but were able to get to our room promptly. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. It was like you were her family. Location was perfect for enjoying all of the city. The rooms were in great condition. The air conditioning was amazing. If you are visiting in the summer you will understand. We will only stay there going forward.

Great parking for a fee. Felt very safe. Nice pool. Wished for a day bar. We had a balcony to enjoy with the great weather. In hotter days, i would not. Hitel is one block from two restaurants, one pricey, the wine barrel, and one, miderate, the Louisiana purchase pizza. We ate twice there. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free wifi.

Our stay here was great. The beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to French Market, Cafe du Monde, Frenchmen St, Bourbon St and Jackson square. There was a streetcar stop about 2 blocks away. It was very convenient and staff was pleasant.

This hotel provided one of the most enjoyable stays I've ever experienced. It's a taste of old New Orleans. The staff is wonderful, dealing patiently and efficiently with a complicated booking. So friendly and professional. The pool is clean and attractive, set in a classic French Quarter courtyard. Our guest rooms are spacious and attractive, with very comfortable beds and lovely little balconies. The bathroom facilities are clean and attractive and the showers are perfect. It's right in the heart of the French Quarter on a quiet residential street. Secure parking is available. We were able to walk everywhere in the French Quarter and downtown area, so renting a car is not a necessity, but having off-street parking in the gating lot is a definite plus. Overall, I highly recommend Le Richelieu if you want a genuine New Orleans French Quarter experience.
