Booked this as I thought that it was a 4 star hotel. The room I got was extremely small and crowded with very basic furniture. The shower fitting was really old and the water mixture did not work properly. The water was either too hot or too cold.

Room is somewhat small but that's because it's a historical hotel, and it is very clean. The water pressure in the bathroom is higher than 90% of the hotels I've lived so very comfortable. Although the hotel is within French quarter, I didn't hear any noise in the night, but that's probably because my window faces the wall and I had no view at all. Didn't eat or drink inside the hotel so cannot comment about the food or bar. They don't provide free breakfast.

Everything was very expensive for the amount received. The sofa in Room 1050 is tattered and the springs are sprung. It was very uncomfortable. A previously made reservation to add one night to the other two nights and had a confirmation number for was not on the reservation roster so I had to get a room that cost $100/night more.

It was nice, safe, kind, & everyone was helpful. I saw breakfast options but we didn’t try them. We opted to walk to local places in the area. The hotel is right in The French Quarter so it’s a quick walk to everything.
