Novotel is at the top of its game. Friendly, welcoming staff, great architecture, well appointed rooms, and a great rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking the runway. It’s immediately adjacent to the airport which was perfect after a 12 hr international flight.

Beautiful hotel, nice accommodations, just the nicest "resort" style hotel I've found yet in New Zealand. It is always my "go-to" stay in Christchurch.

Stand out for me was the staff... very friendly and helpful. Even happy to take us to the airport at 3:30 am!

Clean and well-equipped room. There is a kitchen with everything you need, we didn't get to use it. The room was really beautiful and decorated, large and comfortable beds and a luxurious pillow menu so we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
