It lies 70 kilometres to the south of Jerusalem, Israel's capital city.
Sitting 100 kilometres to the northwest, Ashdod Beach is a great place to while away an hour or two strolling along the shore. Ashkelon Beach is also home to some pleasant views. You'll find this popular shoreline 95 kilometres to the northwest.
You don't have to be stuck in a car all day to see a bit of nature. Just 17 kilometres out of Neve Zohar, Masada National Park is a favourite spot to get a breath of fresh air. More delightful surrounds await at Ein Gedi National Park, 35 kilometres away.
After even more attractions? Head to Arad, 17 kilometres northwest of Neve Zohar, for Tel Arad National Park and the Glass Art Museum Arad. Alternatively, Ein Tamar is 25 kilometres to the south, and it's here you'll discover Neot HaKikar Pool and Neot HaKikar Park.
Whether it's for a bit of shopping or to see the sights, locals and visitors alike often take a day trip to Beersheba, 55 kilometres to the west. The Monument to the Negev Brigade, the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the Negev Museum of Art are all nearby. That being said, you wouldn't want to pass up British WWI Military Cemetery and the Soroka Medical Center either.
The nearest terminal is Queen Alia International Airport (AMM). When you're ready to pack your bag and hit the tarmac, go 85 kilometres to the northeast.
