Only a one night stay, but hotel room with spacious and clean with all amenities. We happen to be vacationing from Nebraska and proprietor had a daughter living in Omaha. Great talk with him and his family about the Huskers. Couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming.

I cannot praise the staff enough for being super helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and really made us feel welcome. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, close to eateries and city centre. Would love to have stayed longer, so hope to be back in the near future

Chelsea Park Motor lodge is a great base for exploring Nelson and surrounding area. Approximate 10 minute walk from main shopping street and some of the town's parks. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen area including fridge. The hosts were friendly and helpful offering advise on places to visit/ eat. Also, they went above and beyond when I accidentally stood at the wrong location for the morning bus shuttle to Abel Tasman park and missed the pick up. I had stayed 2 nights but wish I had allowed a longer stay in my itinerary.

Fantastic reception desk and host. Very helpful with local knowledge about where to eat, what to do around Nelson. They even helped us book boat / walking tour to the Abel Tasman National Park. They have really made us feel at home so we stayed a few more nights to enjoy everything this area has to offer.

A very well appointed room, very functional, spacious and spotlessly clean, and daily housekeeping and replenishment of coffee, tea etc. An awesome balcony to sit and relax on with a cup of coffee, and a great location - just a 10 minute stroll to the vibrant Bridge Street or the Centre for Musical Arts. One aspect that could be improved was the lack of air conditioning but the fan was fairly effective to ameliorate the uncomfortably warm room after a sunny summer's day.

A wonderful experience, very relaxing with easy access to tourist activities and restaurants 😀.
