While you won't find many places to crash in Nagame, Japan, you will discover 17 digs within 30 kilometres of the centre.

It doesn't take long to reach downtown Nagame from Ibusuki Hakusuikan and Best Western Rembrandt Hotel Kagoshima Resort (although with beds as comfy as these, don't be surprised if you end up running a bit behind schedule!)

If you're still after a place to stay and finding it tricky, you could investigate the Lilac Hotels and Resort or the Kagoshima Tokyu REI Hotel. The first is 15 kilometres away, while the second is 40 kilometres away. Cover your bases by also taking a look at the Kyukamura Ibusuki, 15 kilometres away.

It's well known that Aussies just love to relax, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Arimura Lava Observatory and Sakurajima Dinosaur Park in Kagoshima, 35 kilometres to the northwest of Nagame. The Hotel Sunflex Kagoshima and Hotel Dormy Inn Kagoshima Natural Hot Spring are just some of the hotel options here. Or, you could stay in Miyazaki, 85 kilometres to the northeast of Nagame, where you'll find the Hotel AreaOne Miyazaki and Hotel AreaOne Miyazaki City. If you're staying in Miyazaki, set aside some time to check out Miyazaki Waterfront Park and Aeon Mall Miyazaki.

On the plane? In a tizz cos you haven't got a place to stay at the other end? Don't panic! Odds are you'll be able to put your head down at the Yakakutei. It's not far from Kagoshima Airport, which is 55 kilometres from Nagame's centre.
