Sure, you could spend your entire break just in Munong, but you're gonna come down with a bad case of FOMO. For some truly epic memories, you've gotta look around the wider North Jeolla region. The area is known for its gorgeous coastal plains. After staring slack-jawed at nature's masterpieces, visit popular tourist sights like old towns and fortresses. If the weather is nice (or even if it's not), you could also have a crack at some exciting activities like snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

Don't blow through before you've had a squiz at the Namwon Recreational Forest and the Namwon National Gugak Center in Namwon. The Chunwangbong Pension and The Suites Hotel Namwon are a few of the hotel options here. Or, you could consider staying in Jeonju, 45 kilometres to the west of Munong, where you'll find the Jeonju Tourist Hotel and Benikea Jeonju Hansung Tourist Hotel. Sitting 90 kilometres from Munong is Daegu, a regional hub with a population of 2,600,000.
