"Great location, spacious, luxurious rooms"
The rooms are really large, beds super comfortable. It is worth the price for a good nights sleep and block out curtains. The breakfast buffet used to be incredible, the quality has significantly dropped.

"Beautiful location and beautiful rooms"
Very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Will definately be staying again. A wonderful place to stay when you need to go to Melbourne but want to avoid the business of staying in the city.

"Lovely hotel with idyllic views "
We used this location as an in between stay overnight for a trip to Echuca. The rooms were perfect for what we required however we arrived late (2100 hrs) and as such didn't get the full use of the facilities on offer. The breakfast in the morning was beautiful with a great view from the balcony while sitting in the sun. The only disappointing part for myse;f was the cellar door hours didn't allow us to try the Cleveland wines which I have tasted before and was looking forward to.

    Hotels In Mount Macedon

The township of Mount Macedon is located part of the way up Mount Macedon, surrounded by nature and offering superb views of the mountain ranges. This colonial town is the suburb where the richest of European settlers used to live and now you can live it up and stay in one of their mansions-cum-old-English-guesthouses when you book our Mount Macedon accommodation.

    Things to Do

The crowning glory of Mount Macedon is, without a doubt, its summit which is adorned with the Memorial Cross, paying tribute to Australia's fallen soldiers. So, head up and pay your respects before snapping some photos of the stunning views. On the way back down the mountain, you can stop off at one of the many picnic grounds or head towards Sanatorium Lake for even more photo opps.

One of Mount Macedon's biggest draw cards is its splendid gardens, many of which are open to the public. Even those that are private gardens are sometimes opened to the public at certain times of the year, so be sure to check the events calendar once you arrive. There are also quite a few parkland areas that are worth checking out, especially Camels Hump, which offers incredible views of the well-known Hanging Rock. If you're not familiar with Hanging Rock, it became famous thanks to Joan Lindsay's novel, "Picnic at Hanging Rock", which later became a blockbuster feature film.

    Wining and Dining

With more than 40 wineries in the area, sipping a glass of local chardonnay or pinot noir is an absolute must while you're here. Why not go on a tour of a few of the vineyards and indulge in plenty of samples before purchasing a bottle of your fave drop? And if you're feeling peckish, the place to be is the Trading Post. This is where the locals all hang out, so grab a coffee and start mingling!

    Getting Here and Around
