Five star experience all the way! The room was large and immaculate. The staff even set out the bedding for us while we were out at dinner. Located in Fukushima, Yumori Onsen Hostel is in a national park, a 1-minute drive from Tsuchiyu Onsen and 10 minutes from Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium.
Yumori is a gem. With a beautiful renovation and friendly staff, you can enjoy a hot springs hotel at a bargain price. My lovely tatami room was so comfortable. Take your own food off arriving late. The share kitchen is wonderful.

Located in Inawashiro, Bandai Meito Resort Bonari no Mori is within a 15-minute drive of Tatsusawa Fudo-taki Waterfalls and Family Snow Park Bandai x2.
A bit of difficulty when it came to conversing in Japanese as we are foreigners but overall was a great stay with good service. The onsen experience was nice. Note that they have a curfew from 10pm to 5am as they do not have electronic key cards implemented for coming in and going out.
