When you stay at The Angler Lodge in Dunsmuir, you'll be on a river, within a 5-minute drive of Tauhindauli Park and Hedge Creek Falls.
There were spider webs on the walls and baseboards of our room and the baseboards were very dirty. There were very smelly garbage cans outside of our room with a dirty liquid leaking out of them and running across the sidewalk that no one cleaned while we were there.

When you stay at Shasta Inn in Mount Shasta, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 5-minute drive of Sacred Mountain Spa and Siskiyou Arts Council Gallery.
This was as expected. It's not fancy, just a clean room and nice people. The one down side wasn't their fault, but the EV chargers wouldn't work but there were some in town.

No breakfast, but was a good clean hotel, everything you would expect. beautiful views, good parking, lots of EV. excellent hand rails for the stairs, good pool.
