Le Nouvel is a great area to stay — walkable to downtown, Old Town, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. Check in and out were easy and staff are so nice especially Luis, who was incredibly helpful during our check-out. The rain shower in the room was an added pleasure, and overall, our stay was excellent.

The hotel was in a great location to everything, Bell center, restaurants, train station, old Montreal etc. the room was incredibly quiet. We enjoyed our time at the hotel.

The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from the main street where all the restaurants and shops are in Downtown. The beds are comfortable, and both the room and restroom were spotlessly clean. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help or answer any questions you may have.

Great hotel for the location and quality/value. Shopping and restaurants nearby and it's a walk from the train station, or the airport bus stops just down the street, also just between two metro lines. It's an old building and it shows in the hallways and decor, our floor smelled a bit like an ashtray, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Also bonus that there is a small pool and gym room. It's the first place I check for availability when travelling to Montreal.

The safe was too small to store my laptop, which I am able to do at every other hotel I stay at around the world. It was also no longer secured to the wall and could be carried out. Hotel was unable to provide me with any alternative, so I had to carry my electronics with me at all times. The gym was not well equipped and was quite small. The pool deck was gritty and the pool was not terribly clean. The water was as warm as piss. Pool hours were inconvenient.

Stayed for two nights. The outdoor pool was very small and surrounded by bird droppings. Nothing special stood out – not sure why this is rated as a four-star hotel. Parking was free because I'm a Gold member of the hotel chain. I confirmed the free parking benefit with the front desk at check-in, but was still charged when exiting the garage after two days. The charge was only canceled after I complained to the front desk, but they did not proactively apologize for the inconvenience and wasted time. **Do not recommend.**
