Chateau Versailles is a charming old property. So much history, artistic touches throughout. That said, no elevator and stairs to enter the building. Our room had a fireplace, marble flooring, vaulted ceilings, etc. Beautiful. Linens are top notch, soap products were awesome, nice water pressure in bath, deeper than usual tub. Breakfast was continental. Good, but you may tire of it after a couple of days. (We did) and went to an amazing brunch diner 1 block away. Staff was friendly and spoke both French and English. We had a noon checkout - which was appreciated. Love the history of this hotel. It is located just a couple of blocks from the Fine Art Museum in Montreal, metro, bus stations, pharmacy, smaller restaurants, and underground shopping mega center. Property conditions were good...just could use a bit of touch up paint in some areas. Enjoy Montreal!

The front desk lady on May 12th day time was very snooty. The upgrade, if it was, was terrible. Upgrade to what? Rooms are very historic, which was nice. Don’t go to the 4th floor as there’s no elevator. Not easy on the knee’s. We won’t go back. The breakfast was wonderful. Honest 3 star would be a fair number. Would have got 4 star, but the front desk lady wasn’t pleasant at all. The front desk lady on May 10-11 was very pleasant.

AVOID THIS ONE!

Boutique does not mean tired, or not maintained. Breakfast terrible. How could you be in the home of Montreal bagels and have Packaged garbage for breakfast. Rooms were worn. They also had discount cards for dinner across street at property they owned in sister hotel. Some of the worst service on record. NEVER go to the GESO restaurant. I spoke with the manager, who got back to me a week later and then told me he would have the GM contact me. Passing off one to another. Their exercise room is basically in a closet. No towels there and a tiny sauna. A VIP welcome package was two lindt chocolates and two cans of soda. REALLY. Pretentious but nothing behind it. No elevator 15 stairs to get to the lobby and then no elevators in building. Nothing to say good about the place

The name implies a lot. The rooms were clean. The beds were ok. Everything seemed old or older (Mayra’s, bathroom). Did appreciate the coffee maker in the room. And nice big TV. Breakfast was ok. Would consider again pending price compared to surrounding hotels.
