Honestly, the stay felt like an attempted scam. Things seemed fine at first, but our 1st night we overheard a guest arguing w the manager on the phone about a reservation being unexpectedly canceled after he tried to change dates. It set a strange tone. We stayed 2 nights with no issues accessing the room. On checkout day, we left early & cleaned up, leaving only normal trash (feminine products in the bathroom bin, food in our own paper bags since there were no other trash cans). We also noticed what we thought was a small piece of red fabric from a new scarf on the couch. About two hours later, the manager called accusing us of leaving a âstainâ and implied it could be blood or makeup, saying they might need a specialist. I repeatedly asked for a photo. The image she sent showed a bright red mark that didnât resemble blood (which dries dark/brown) or any makeup we owned. Since we were nearby, she encouraged us to return and see it ourselves. When we arrived about 15 minutes later, there was no stain on the couchâno moisture, no cleaning residue, nothing. Despite knowing we were coming, the alleged stain had mysteriously disappeared. The front desk then showed a photo where the color looked altered & suggested it came from lip pencil shavings.. sure. After difficulty reaching the manager again, she finally called back and said since the stain was âremoved,â they wouldnât charge us. This felt convenient & left us feeling they were trying to keep our $100+ deposit. Be cautious
