Book Monowai hotels

This property either needs to be closed or renovated desperately. The electric blankets are like from the 80s one was broken and the other was hanging on to its dear life. I didn't use it and suffered the bitter cold and the dirty blanket. The toilet literally came off the floor when I sat slightly to one side. We were on our way to Milford Sound from Queenstown and all rooms in Te Anau were completely booked. When we arrived at the hotel office and asked if I could use the toilet, the staff said there was none for guests. We had to drive out and around the closed cafe to reach our room. Everything was like a scene from Bates Motel. Our trip to New Zealand was wonderful with all the friendly and welcoming people, except this one downside.

Great location for Fiordland hiking. Good range of shops and eateries in Te Anau. Comfortable cottage in a quiet location

We enjoyed our stay, Phillipa and Rob are excellent hosts. The choice for breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit and muffins. A quick and easy access to the ferry point. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely little cottage, perfect for a brief stay, close the trails and bay.

The unit was adequate for a two night stay. Very convenient for early morning boat trip on Doubtful Sound. Beautiful view of lake. Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit.
