We arrived at the apartments about 7pm. Our apartment was very clean and a complimentary bottle of red wine was a nice welcoming gift. The gentleman at reception was just that. We were a bit uncomfortable throughout our first night as we didn't know the score with the air conditioning and the weather was very warm. Apparently, it only works if the sliding door is closed, and the minimum temperature you could set it to was 17c. We also didn't notice there was a window in the bathroom which could be opened on our first night. We didn't mind the steep climb from the commercial centre to the Rocamar but, being placed opposite and above the centre, it was quite difficult to sleep at night before 4am because of the noise booming out from the bars/clubs in the centre. Closer to the beach would have been quieter. The pool and pool area were nice and clean, and the poolside bar restaurant was fine for drinks and snacks. The cleaners appeared every day but Sunday and kept the rooms, balconies, stairways and reception areas spotlessly clean. Overall, the Rocamar is good value for money, and my cousin and I enjoyed our stay there.
Pros: It was clean, with nice views and staff, and good facilities.
Cons: Not much, really. Perhaps clearer information about the air conditioning for visitors.
Location: Situated about halfway up a cliff. Another cliff on the opposite side and, in the valley between, an open air, 2 level centre with shops & eateries.
