Not recommended

Room connected to the stairwell and hear staff complaining about the hotel guests thru the night. Refrigerator took forever to cooldown. And some staff could care less about the guests. I have stayed here several times. I think I am done.

Lovely unique hotel; however, mechanical issues in the room made it near impossible to sleep. HVAC sounded like a washing machine running all night next to the bed. Had to put earplugs in to get any sleep. If you know you have an issue with a room (and they did) DONT PUT GUESTS IN IT!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Admiral Hotel. Check-in was an quick as well as checking our car into valet. The decor was nice and was a perfect fit for a renovated 1940s hotel! We loved how they kept some of the original elements from the first hotel. While we didn’t get to fine at their chophouse, LeMoyne’s, it smelled INCREDIBLE! We did enjoy a few drinks at the bar. The bartender was friendly and provided prompt service. Critique: The hotel could use a detail cleaning. While not “nasty”, there were definitely some part that were overdue for a “toothbrush cleaning” aka a cleaning where the details are emphasized. For example, the baseboards, a few areas on the carpet, and sink fixtures need a good scrubbing. We would definitely return to The Admiral!

A great hidden gem in Mobile

We live in New Orleans and Mobile has always been our favorite place to go when we need a break from the craziness of the French Quarter. The Admiral has been our one and only choice of place to stay when we come for a visit and this time it's been fully renovated and even more spectacular than before. If you're looking for a great hotel that won't break the bank then this is the place to go. Plus it's within walking distance of everything you would want to do in downtown Mobile.

Beautiful hotel. I would definitely return on my next trip to Mobile. You did have to pay for parking. However, the room is a good size and plenty of places to walk to.

The only downside was valet parking. When we arrived there were no signs as to where to park and no attendant. We parked where it said valet and walked inside the hotel to have an attendant come out with a luggage carrier. Valet parking was $25/night. We enjoyed the bars that were within walking distance and had a great time.
