Beautiful, detached villa, recently renovated to a high modern standard in keeping with it's traditional setting with well maintained gardens, terraces and pool and with superb views to the Mediterranean and Africa. Within walking distance of the picturesque Andalusian village of Mijas with it's many charming shops and restaurants and several stunning beaches just a 10 minute drive away. Both Malaga and Marbella are less than 30 minutes drive and if you are a golfer you have a tremendous choice of local courses. Also nearby are several tennis clubs, horse riding facilities and many fabulous mountain walks. It is also the perfect location if you do not wish to use a car as public transport is excellent and close by.

The villa has a poolside BBQ, shaded sunbathing and relaxation areas and plenty of space for al fresco dining. You will be welcomed at the villa by our team who will also be on hand to assist you during your stay. We also do our best to be flexible for check in and out times.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous stay at Casa La Joya.Communication from the start was perfect. Any questions we had were responded to almost immediately from the owner Paul.Maurice from the management company met us at the villa for an early check in which was perfect for our early flight landing in Malaga. All information was communicated and a lovely welcome package was provided which was perfect. The villa itself is immaculate, also included everything you need for a self catering holiday. Location is brilliant, a short 10 minute stroll into Mijas which is beautiful.Overall 10/10

I have stayed in several villas in this area and Casa La Joya is definitely the one that ticked all the boxes.Maurice who manages the property was very helpful in sorting out our transport to and from the villa. Big thanks.Our welcome pack had everything we needed to settle in and more. Again big thank you.English tv channels, big tick. A cushioned sun bed is another big bonus.An array of blankets for sitting outside on cooler evenings.The villa had absolutely everything we needed for the perfect stay. I especially loved the various areas that the patio was separated into. The fact you’ve got shade and sun, along with beautiful views, bliss. Loved having our lunch looking out to the sea.Thank you Joyce and Paul for making your rental a home.

Fabulous Villa with great panoramic views

Beautiful stay with the family. Large outdoor area with great views up the mountain and down to the see. The Villa was well stocked when we arrived. Would happily recommend this as a great place to stay when visiting Mijas.

Week in September

Villa spotless on arrival. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. Welcome pack, of a few essentials greatly appreciated. Property manager, Maurice, went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. Pueblo, only 10/15 mins walk, to a good selection of bars/restaurants. Overall a great week, weather a little indifferent, but we made the most of our time.

Perfect Villa

Had a fantastic week, we have been coming to Mijas for the last 20 years but never stayed on this side of the town, perfect location 15 minute walk into town coming home the last 20 meters is steep but easily walkable, we are all over 50 years old. Maurice was a superstar, his flexibility meeting us with the keys by and the supplies he left for us made a great start to our holiday. Amazing outside space and perfect for six people can’t fault it in anyway would stay again.

Excellent villa - shame about the building works

The property is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Mijas and located on a steep hill. You either need use of a car or to be fit and healthy. Communication with the property manager Maurice was excellent. Comprehensive welcome pack on arrival. Villa presented well and was both clean and air conditioned. Numerous seating areas outside, 6 good quality padded sun beds and a nice pool. Views are excellent albeit a little blocked by trees and overgrown hedging in front of the railings. There is a small drive which provides off-road parking for one car. Overall we had an excellent stay at the villa and would recommend. Unfortunately there were busy building works in the property opposite which did rather spoil the peace and quiet. Had we known about this we wouldn’t have booked.

Absolutely Perfect

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay in La Joya, a family of 4 adults and 2 young children.. Communication from the owner, Paul from booking the Villa was excellent and we had contact with Maurice, the property manager prior to our departure. Our trip didn't get off to the best start as our flight was delayed by 9 hours! We were in constant contact with the wonderful Maurice and he was extremely reassuring, monitored our flight and met us at the property and ensured we not only had a house welcome pack but some extras too for which we were so grateful. The Villa is perfect, everything you could possibly need and Maurice on hand to help with anything. Outside space is lovely, great pool and fabulous views. We walked into the Pueblo most days, a nice walk which takes around 10/15 minutes. We did walk back on most occasions too, just the hill up to the house which is steep, but only around 150yards but fine if you are relatively active and take your time. Taxi's only around 5 euros though and we did use them especially on the very hot days. Family used public transport down to the coast, good service, only around 15/20 mins and good value. We have stayed in Mijas Pueblo on a number of occasions, but previously in a Hotel, we will be back but will hopefully use La Joya, either as a family or a couple. Absolutely perfect

One of the best villas we've stayed

Maurice met us at the billa ,nothing was too much trouble for him very helpful when my phone was damaged. Villa was modern and very clean, views were spectacular. Only word of caution to anyone with walking difficulties the 100 metres or so down to main road was very steep, fortunately taxi back from village only around 5 euros. My wife is already asking me to check availability to return.

Another Wonderful Stay

This was our second trip to this beautiful villa and it was just as fabulous as the first time. The location is perfect for walking into the pueblo, the house and gardens are immaculate and the views are stunning. We feel so relaxed and refreshed when we’re there and are about to book our third trip next year! Paul is so helpful, flexible and quick to respond to any questions we may have, as is Maurice during our stays. Hasta la próxima vez!

Perfect oasis

We wanted a place that was close to the town centre but offered peace and quiet, a view, bright home and a lovely outdoor area to enjoy the spring sun. The Villa was perfect! At this time of year, we had no problem finding a park in town. Very professional and personable management. We would definitely return.

From the moment we booked Paul could not be more helpful. He answered any query we had promptly and nothing seem too much trouble. On arrival we were greeted by the wonderful Maurice. He insured that we immediately felt at home and that we understood where everything we might need was. The Villa itself is stunning, spacious and spotlessly clean. The garden is secluded with breathtaking views and really well thought out in terms of layout. There is a small pool and 5 or 6 different seating areas around the garden that allow you to either follow or shade from the sun throughout the entire day. We were in Spain for a wedding and although the villa only sleep 6, it was absolutely perfect for hosting other guests during the days and evenings. Without question 10/10 and have already booked to go back next year.
