Umbral Hilton provided comfortable, high-quality accommodations. The area is safe for international travellers with key landmarks such as The Zocalo, Bellas Artes, and The Cathedral within a couple of blocks. Meet-up options for tours are also close by, although it often made more sense to walk a few blocks to grab our Uber because traffic is slow. No big deal, but wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Food options are plentiful, readily available, and steps away: 24-hr Taqueria Los Cocuyos (visited by Anthony Bourdain), Azulisimo (unmatchable high-end traditional), Terraza Gran Hotel (Zocalo view)...and we had Tim Horton's coffee next door, as well as excellent restaurants with natural juices and many options both at the base of the hotel and on the top floor. We also used the room service, and it was excellent. My husband liked the burger and I loved the quesadillas made with hand-made coloured corn tortillas. The blended margaritas by the pool are delicious. The bed and linen were comfortable and of high quality, and our room was very spacious. Overall, a great stay! Fully recommend it.

Umbral a Curio Collection by Hilton is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Our room was clean and spacious with renowned staff 24 hours. The hotel was a walking distance from the central and zocalo.

Great hotel but avoid the rooftop restaurant

This is a nice hotel if you need to stay in Centro Historico. The front desk staff and housekeeping team are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is not very good and the service could not be any slower even if you are the only person in the restaurant. One waiter was either so poorly trained or in the wrong position that everything he did was incorrect. Kind of ruined what would have been a nice stay.

This property is beautiful and the staff was excellent, but I would say that the hotel is already starting to feel a little worn out. Our front door to our hotel room looks like it had been broken into with a screwdriver. It’s hard to close any of the doors without them slamming extra hard.. There’s also numbers missing on the walls throughout the hallways and stairs and just generally rough around the edges. I know Hotel get thrashed very quickly by guests so it’s not the end of the world, but I’ve definitely excise. It needs somebody to run through it and clean it up a bit. But overall, we had a very good experience.

My stay at Umbral Hilton Collection in Mexico City was absolutely pleasant. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel is also stunning. The hotel is located in the busy city center close to sight seeing and lots of food options. Good choice for a first time visiting Mexico City.

Very nice hotel. Staff is very helpful and nice. This hotel is beautiful but definitely in the wrong neighborhood. It’s not really close by to any walkable places. Probably wouldn’t stay again just because of location. Spent a lot of money ubering. But overall a beautiful hotel and rooms are very comfortable and large.

Nice and unique hotel, loved the complimentary coffee and alternating water/ soda/ alcoholic beverages in the lobby.the one issue I had was that I choose and paid full price for the balcony suite. Well I was expecting there is a balcony or a full size window resembling a balcony, I just wanted a room that looked like the picture for the “balcony suite” on Expedia . But I got 2 ordinary windows, one in each room. Not a big deal, but I paid for something I did not get. That was disappointing but after arriving on a red eye flight and waiting 6 hours for check in, by the time I got in the room,I was too tired. I just didn’t care to complain anymore.

The Umbral was an amazing property within walking distance of El Zocalo and all of the shopping and dining in the area. The Umbral is beautifully designed and my room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying there again soon.
