The location is not great. Loud music until morning. The hotel doesn’t have much amenities just 2 free bottles of water & free breakfast. The cover on the bed smells.

Dear Expedia, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent hotel stay that I booked based on your high rating for the property. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, there were numerous deficiencies: The mattress was lumpy and sagged noticeably on the left side. The in-room soap and lotion dispensers did not work. The room key card rarely worked, forcing us to repeatedly visit the front desk to get it rekeyed. Hot water was virtually nonexistent. The breakfast was terrible—the eggs were cold, and the orange juice was essentially colored water. Because I trusted your rating, I convinced two other couples to stay at this hotel. My friend and I were so dissatisfied that we moved to another hotel, and I immediately called my brother and his wife to advise them to do the same. They were able to cancel in time, but the other couple stayed and had the same poor experience. We left the hotel Wednesday morning. After reporting these issues, the only compensation I received was a $50 credit, which barely offsets the cost of moving to another hotel for the remainder of our stay. Your rating system is misleading, and it caused significant inconvenience and additional expense. I strongly urge you to reevaluate how properties are rated and consider a more appropriate resolution for this experience. Shame on you for publishing ratings that do not reflect reality. Worse thing was the noise that would not stop until midnight or beyond. The area is not very safe either. Towels need changing, they are almost transparent. The room key was filthy. Definitely below expectations ans I do not recommend it.

Nice room, good staff, unfortunately the breakfast is terrible and there are roaches in the bedrooms. Be advised this area is highly active, very normal to hear fireworks at 5am and music blasting all night. It is conveniently located for walking though.

Clean room with the needed amenities. Close to restaurants. If you are sensitive to noises I don't recommend you stay here as it's a party spot but if you like to be up late and want free live music this is the spot. I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay again.

- The room was clean as well as the bathroom, but the latter had a foul smell more related the pipe/drain. - Staff was correct, but not friendly. I just did not feel welcome. One of them, the young man who was at the front desk during my stay (Dec 2-6) would not even look at you when talking to you (Eyes glued to the computer) The staff needs some training in customer service. To their credit check-in and checkout was fluid and flawless. 24 hour coffee/tea station was a big STAR to the credit of the hotel

The hotel was a good stay relative to the price I paid. Nothing luxurious, but clean and safe. There was no breakfast available. And heads up, don’t get a balcony room unless you like hearing Mariachi music very late at night playing outside. Not blaming this on the hotel. It’s just the neighborhood your in.

Unfortunately, my stay had some issues. 1. The bed was well made; however, housekeeping, apparently forgot to sweep the floor, 2. They need to fix their lock system… It was very difficult to get into my room each and every time and on one occasion I had to go to the front desk for help. 3. I had no hot water in the morning. In discussions with the staff, this is a common issue for early showers. 4. The air conditioner was leaking water unfortunately this was on my shoes. Per the staff, I should not have used the air conditioner. (seriously that’s what they told me) I thought about not leaving a review however, when I exited the hotel, another guest followed me out and said that they had heard everything that I had said at the front desk and they had pretty much the exact same experience

Stay away from Garibaldi is way too noisy

The location sucks!!! It’s way too noisy day and specially at night. We stayed for 5 nights. One night the music was basting until 4:30 am. That night we only slept 4 hrs. The shower is hot, bed comfy, towels are old, there was an AC that didn’t work, no fan, the “cleaning” consisted of making the bed, the breakfast was ok, it was usually beans, eggs, toast, some kind of meat and veggies. They also had ham, cheese and some fruit. Coffee and chocolate 24hrs at the cafeteria. Very small gym (boxing bag, spin bike, bench and a set of free weights). If they are able to reduce the noise issue, we might consider staying again. I wished this app would allow to upload videos for people to understand how loud this place was.

The property inside was nice and clean, but as soon as you walk outside, it's a different story. If you don't mind the noise all night and want to be in the Plaza Garibaldi square. I guess it's ok. The price was descent, and for the breakfast included with the price, it was good.
