We had a beautiful view of Denali National Park from our room. The room was exceptional, lots of space, and very up to date! The parking was not that good with minimal parking spaces on the main level of the lodge (it was mainly a drop off area for a bus or shuttle). There was overflow parking lots down the hill so people had to hike up the dirt road to get to the lodge.

Be aware you can’t check in until 4 pm and checkout is at 10 AM. Which means housekeeping will come pounding on your door at 9 AM until you answer. We had to check out 20 minutes late due to waiting for a toilet plunger. We arrived early at 1 PM and completely understood our room wouldn’t be ready. Staff however told us they would have it ready by 2 PM. We left at 2:55 Pm with no room. Again we understood the check in time but also , don’t tell us you’ll have it available when you aren’t certain. For almost $500 a night for a place with no pool or hot tub and being there was than 12 hours, we wouldn’t stay there again

This place was a waste of money. The restaurant front counter staff was terrible. Denied us a chance to seat at the window. I had to go to the managers before finally getting to sit down at a window table. We were told that we couldn’t sit at the windows due to the staff wanting to be done early for the night. The manager took care of it and then our server helped make our night better. He was awesome. Can’t remember his name though. Our room felt a little outdated. The mattresses were old and sunken. The shower head was broken and we had to tie it with a towel so it could stay. Overall I don’t think it’s work it. Great view but I could have gotten the same without booking this hotel room.

The room has the feel of a Holiday Inn, withoutmthe included breakfast. The room only had a desk chair, while it had plenty of room for additional furniture. The lobby, bar, and dining area were beautiful. Clearly, this was where they spent they’re money. Place would have been fine overall for $150/night, but not $500.

Nice view from the property. Have to take shuttle to all amenities. Expensive. Most staff were nice. Room was clean and large and easy to get to. Make sure to let them know if coming in by train and what time, otherwise room not ready until 4pm. Was told they would call us when room was ready and did not get a call. Check out 10am.

Staff was very friendly. Like that they provide free transportation to and from the visitor center and downtown. Rooms were clean and we were actually able to check in early since the room was ready. Didn’t have to wait until 4pm. I would recommend hotel. It was a very pleasant stay!!

Loved the view. However, for the nightly rate I paid I expected a bit more plush room. Elevators would be nice. Entry area to the Kodiak building is an accident waiting to happen.

We had a rough start at this property, but the manager made it right. The AC didn't work in our room and they didn't tell us that on check-in, even though they knew and had placed a fan in the room. When I put in my Expedia check-in review that I was disappointed in how they handled the situation, the manager left us a nice note the next day and offered a partial refund and breakfast vouchers to make it right. I really appreciated this. Besides this interaction, everyone on the staff at this hotel is very friendly. The restaurant is nice and the views are gorgeous as you are up on a mountainside overlooking Denali NP. The rooms are nothing special, but roomy. The fact that the rooms have small refrigerators and (should have) AC is a bonus as many properties in this area have neither in each room. Overall, we had a great stay since the manager addressed our concerns in a very professional manner!
