While lastminute.com.au has an impressive database of Sweden hotels, unfortunately you won't find anywhere to lay your head in or around Mattmar.

However, Undersaker does have a selection of places to crash. You'll find it 30 kilometres from Mattmar. Recommended hotels are the Hotell Fjällgården Ski-In Ski-Out and Tott Hotel Åre.

Attractions and Hotels Near Mattmar

If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (no duh, you're here right?), then you won't want to miss out on seeing the wider Jamtland County region. Traditional villages are some well-known attractions that should be on your must-do list. If amazing scenery is more your thang, make a date with Mother Nature and explore Mattmar's lakes, mountains and snowfields. If the weather is putting on a show (or even if it's not), you could also have a crack at some popular local pastimes like snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

Looking for more to do? Kick back and spend the day discovering the Jamtli and the OSD Folkets Hus Congress Centre. You'll find them in Ostersund, 45 kilometres to the east of Mattmar. The Scandic Östersund City and Clarion Hotel Grand Östersund are a few of the great hotel and apartment options here. 50 kilometres to the northwest of Mattmar you'll also find Duved, home to the Millestgården Åre and Pensionat Mullfjället.
