If you're here physically but mentally you're living it up in Marsas, it's time to book that getaway. Marsas' centre is pretty short on accommodation, but you can book a stay in one of the 4 hotels within 10 kilometres of the action.

If you want to sleep as close as possible to the central streets, the Carré Py' Hôtel and City Résidence Termalia are top choices.

Looking for more options? The Résidence Tourmalet is situated 16 kilometres away from the main central area, and the Résidence Les Balcons de la Neste is 20 kilometres away. We'd also suggest the Le Rex Hotel and the Mercure Saint Lary Sensoria. The first is 25 kilometres from downtown, while the second is 25 kilometres away.

Attractions and Hotels Near Marsas

If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (no duh, you're here right?), then we're pretty sure you'll want to check out the wider Midi-Pyrenees region. Don't even think of heading home without visiting some of the region's gorgeous rural landscapes, rivers, canals and mountains. Ruins, castles and traditional villages are also worth a peek. If the weather is nice (or even if it's not), also get out there and have a whirl at some fabulous activities like snowboarding and skiing.

Looking for things to do? Consider spending some time enjoying the Mauvezin Chateau and Church of Lutilhous. You'll find them in Lanespede, 13 kilometres to the north of Marsas. Lanespede accommodation options are the Résidence le Beau Site and L'Auberge Basque. Or, you could consider staying in Salles-Adour, 18 kilometres to the northwest of Marsas, where you can pick from the Relais Fasthotel Tarbes and Hôtel Kennedy Parc des Expositions. Tarbes Exhibition Center and Massey Garden are popular attractions to explore when visiting Salles-Adour.

You'll come across some awesome activities in Lourdes. House of Sainte Bernadette, Chateau Fort Pyreneen Museum and the Lourdes Wax Museum are among our top picks. We found this hotel overall to be comfortable. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offerings were the same each day: cereals, pastries, pancakes, cold cuts, boiled eggs, fruit, bread for toasting, along with coffee, juices, and tea. The price for what was offered : 14€ per person was fairly reasonable. We were disappointed to discover that use of the hot tub required a significant additional fee, but since the listing had merely said one was "available, " I guess that was on us. More concerning was the unavailability of wifi in our room, which we discovered was due to our room's location. Since we had paid more to have a suite type room, with a sitting area, it was disappointing to discover that our splurge had cost us the use of wifi. Also, we had to have a space heater placed in the room as the thermostat controls were not working, but the space heater did warm the room sufficiently. It was rainy during our visit, and the hotel offered loaner umbrellas, which was kind. Parking was on street, and required payment during the day, but the tourist office told us that parking from 7 pm to 8 am was free. Hope that was true! We will likely not visit Lourdes again, but if we did, we would consider staying again, although not in the same wifi-less room.
