In terms of a central location, you won't do better than Parkhotel Terezín. It's a brilliant place to base yourself after sightseeing your way around downtown Malic.

If you're still searching for somewhere to stay and finding it tricky, you could try the Giovanni Giacomo or the Hotel Prince de Ligne. The first is 20 kilometres away, while the second is 20 kilometres away. Alternatively, you could travel 30 kilometres from central Malic to the Zlatá Lípa.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty relaxed, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Saxon Switzerland National Park and Saunstejn Castle in Reinhardtsdorf-Schoena, 40 kilometres to the north of Malic. The Hotel Elbresidenz an der Therme Bad Schandau and Hotel Garni Grundmühle are some of the great short and long-stay options here. 40 kilometres to the northwest of Malic you can also stay at Hermsdorf-Erzgebirge, home to the Pension Sartor and Naturhotel Gasthof Bärenfels. The Altenberg Mining Museum and the Botanischer Garten Schellerhau are popular attractions to see in Hermsdorf-Erzgebirge.

Liberec can be found 70 kilometres away from Malic and has a population of 98,000. When you're in the region, you'd be nuts if you didn't stop by the North Bohemian Museum, the FX Salda Theatre and Liberec City Hall. The iQlandia Science Center and the Liberec Botanical Garden are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some choice photo ops.
