We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite things to do is visit places we've never been. So how about hitting up Mahina? A neighbourhood in Tahiti, you’ll find it 20 kilometres northwest of the downtown area. You'll be roaming its streets before you know it if you're arriving by plane. The suburb is a drive of 15 kilometres to the east from Tahiti Faaa International Airport, the closest terminal.

Mahina is a sightseer's dream. Many of the city's top attractions are scattered near this appealing neighbourhood, including Black Sand Beach and the Black Pearl Museum. You should also make sure to visit Pointe Venus Lighthouse and Cathedrale de L'lmmaculee Conception. For another perspective on the city, organise an outing to Papeno'o and Taunoa, close-by neighbourhoods that you'll love exploring.
