This was our third time staying in the Governor’s Club and would recommend it to anyone looking for a destination to just relax and enjoy the amenities. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and strawberries! How lovely!

We love staying here when coming for the events at the Overture Center…it’s so close!! Great location!! The grass-fed burgers at Circ are very good and the wait-staff is always friendly and attentive. We’ve also enjoyed breakfast on-site at the restaurant as well. Beds are very comfortable and room is updated and clean. We really have enjoyed everything this hotel has to offer and the staff has been wonderful as well! We will continue to keep coming back!

The area was so convenient for downtown options. Parking took you right to an elevator to the hotel, which was great. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. There was a room service option for breakfast, which we didn’t use, but it looked very appealing!

Great location to the capital, restaurants and campus. Great gym and nice bar area. The only thing I would say is that the elevators can get quite busy on the weekends. Expect to wait a bit.

The pictures of this hotel that were shared encouraged one to think that your room would have a lovely view which was not our experience. The bar/restaurant photo thst is shared is only accessible to persons who have the “governor” rooms. This was not obvious imo and a little disappointing. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, but was disappointed that housekeeping didn’t come by to tidy up or replenish our coffee for our second day.

Slip sliding away

The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet so you’re sliding off every time you sit down. The floor was dirty when we arrived. The price was above other locations so we were expecting a nice room and it was very disappointing

It was ok. Location was good. View from the window, not so much. You need to spend top dollar for rooms that include breakfast, so we ordered room service that added a boat load of fees. The hot tub was always full of guests who didn't take turns. We swam for an hour waiting for a spot to open up in the hot tub but no one budged. For spending as much as we did on a room, we expected more. The next time we visit Madison, we will stay somewhere else.
