Beautiful property, just very strange. No staff anywhere, everything is closed, very dated, relatively tidy but doesn’t seem deeply cleaned. The town is very nice though with lots of walkable restaurant options

My first stay in Lynchburg, Virginia

My stay at the Lynchburg Grand Hotel was wonderful. The staff were very accommodating and answered any questions I had with honesty. The location was amazing in the heart of downtown near the Academy Center For The Arts any place I needed to go. Thank you for the hospitality.

Historic Hotel with Walking Access

I visited the Lynchburg Grand Hotel for a Christian conference in the area. We arrived a bit early but the desk allowed us to still check in. The young lady working the desk was very professional, courteous, and informative about the local area and she had knowledge of our conference. The rooms were sufficient and the hotel is a lot larger than I thought it would be. Checkout was seamless. I have an interest in returning to the area for future Christian conferences and some of the area restaurants. I will continue to support the Lynchburg Grand Hotel in my future travels to the area.

Convenient to restaurants & theater. This hotel is a great location. Parking is free next to the hotel. This is an older hotel with potential. There is a gorgeous bar and restaurant area but is not open. Room was clean. It did take quite a while 8-10 min for the water to get hot for the shower.

We stayed at this Hotel with a group of people. One of the rooms were filthy so they went to the front desk and ask to get another room. The hotel did not have any rooms available, so they had to sleep outside in our van. About 4am there were guys going around with ski masks pulling on the door handles of vehicles within the garage.

Property was very nice. Front Desk Personnel were very personable. Lady working at night was very helpful. Parking garage was full due to event across the street. She opened the gate to the parking lot next to hotel so I could park. Room was clean mostly, some dusty areas, but nothing to complain about. Was a comfortable stay.

Exceptional price. Staff were great. Free covered parking. But this is an older and outdated hotel. Rooms were like stepping back in time. Could use some sprucing up but for the $60 price tag it great. Room keys also don’t work but 1% of the time

This hotel was lower cost than other area hotels, and garage parking was free, so that was good. Not luxury, but ok place to sleep. My room phone and internet in the room didn't work, and the swing bar door lock was partially broken off my door which was a bit concerning. I mentioned the room phone and internet to the staff and was told that the wires were in the walls so they couldn't do anything about it. The hotel needs a refresh for sure.
