In the scenic Shenandoah Valley outside of Luray, Virginia Hawksbill Retreat Log Cabin #10 is the perfect place for a couple to get away from it all. Our 45-acre refuge is nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah National Park, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway.

Now with very fast HIGH - SPEED INTERNET and a ROKU streaming device in addition to Satellite TV.

We just finished renovating this one-bedroom log cabin and are now offering it to couples looking for a romantic retreat. The spacious layout features a big stone fireplace, a Queen-size log bed with a comfortable memory mattress, and a separate bathroom and shower that can accommodate two people with its distinctive tilework. Wide glass French doors let you to look out at the mountains from the comfort of your bed.

Relax with a cup of coffee in hand and take in the peaceful surroundings on the covered porch. The cabin has a private hot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, and WiFi. The cabin was adorable and hosts were very friendly. However I would recommend this place only if a couple would truly like to retreat from the world during the month of December. I thought there would be some trails for hiking but it unexpectedly snowed a decent amount and the nearest town for shopping or doing activities seemed to be about an hour plus away. I was disappointed with the weather and activity options in Stanley but lesson learned for vacationing during December!Cabin 7 was very good to us though!

Hawksbill Cabin 10

A great experience all-around for a quiet anniversary weekend. Cabin was really nice, with great view of the mountains. Even though our weather was not great, it was still fun to sit on the porch and watch the clouds move over the mountains. The location is great too; we enjoyed dinner in Luray, which is just maybe ten minutes away. It's also close to the Skyline Drive entrance and lots of hiking opportunities. The cabin was clean and well outfitted, just as advertised.

Amazing stay. Great lodging with great views. The hot tub and fire pit were great additions. And the double showers (with high pressure) were another great surprise. The vibe was just amazing. Minutes away from great hiking, fishing, restaurants. Only critique (no fault of the owners) is no Ubers/Lift. We wanted to responsibly enjoy the local winery (only 2 miles away). But it worked out.

Wonderful Stay

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. First I want to say when we got there the GPS would have taken us directly there but there was an accident and no detour signs. I called Randy and he stayed on the phone with me until we got to the cabin giving me step by step directions. Wonderful host. The cabin was beautiful, very clean and fully stocked. The water pressure was amazing. Usually you don't have water pressure or hot water and both were awesome. Our stay was one of the best ever. A WONDERFUL romantic getaway for any couple looking to enjoy a peaceful time with their loved one. We look forward to coming back again.

Nice little Cabin

The stay was great. The location was nice and out of the way. The only issues we had were that the hot water didn't last very long. Maybe 7-8 minutes. Also, the wireless was useless. I was able to connect to it, but couldn't get to anything on the Internet. Except for those 2 items, the rest of the weekend was wonderful.
