Keen to get away from it all? Can't stop stalking hashtags like #BeautifulLandscape? Then base yourself in Lumino and take a journey through the seriously beautiful rural landscapes and rivers of Lombardy.

From Lumino, venture 110 kilometres to the north to find Vaduz, a prominent city. You can also go 130 kilometres to the north to visit another excellent city, Canton of Zurich.

While you're in Lumino, don't miss the opportunity to check out one of the region's most famed sights, the Sacred Mountain of the Rosary. Make you way to Brinzio, 45 kilometres to the southwest, and you'll be there before you know it.

Looking for an excuse to call into Grandola ed Uniti? Villa del Balbianello, Villa Carlotta and the Villa Melzi are three pretty good ones. You'll find them all just 25 kilometres to the southeast.

Perhaps you'll come across washed up treasures while strolling along the coastline at Piona Beach.

You won't have to venture too far afield to uncover some outstanding natural sights. Find a set of wheels and follow your GPS to the Como-Brunate Funicular, 45 kilometres away from Lumino, for a relaxing day. Or perhaps Verzasca Dam tickles your fancy? You'll find it 17 kilometres away.

Plan on going to SantʼAntonio? This destination is just 7 kilometres to the south. If you're staying here a while, make sure you check out Castelli di Bellinzona, Castello di Montebello and Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie. Also consider swinging by Chiesa di San Biagio and the Museo in Erba.
