Lumbrales has only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of its centre, so book on the double if you need to stay close by.

There's no need to feel guilty about not setting the alarm if you stay at Orgullo Rural. It's the most centrally located hotel around, so you'll still be able to squeeze in plenty of adventures!

Another Lumbrales accommodation spot is the Hotel Domus Real Fuerte de la Concepción, 30 kilometres from central Lumbrales.

Don't blow through before you've gone to the Santa Maria de Aguiar Convent and Rodrigo Castle in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo. Unless you're going to crash on the floor at Vila Real Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation before you fly. The Hotel Mira Corgo is close by, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 95 kilometres away.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at odd hours, and there were loud conversations late at night right outside my room. I didn’t feel unsafe, exactly, but I didn’t feel totally relaxed either. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. I wouldn’t say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I probably wouldn’t return unless there were major improvements in both cleanliness and guest screening.
