Do you need a hotel in Lue? Unfortunately, they're as scant as the hair on your great uncle Shane's head. But you're flush with choice if you drive a little outside of town. Choose from 21 accommodation options within 30 kilometres of Lue's main area.
All that sightseeing left you knackered? Crawl into bed at Perry Street Hotel or Wanderlight Motor Inn. They're about as close as you'll get to downtown Lue. The Comfort Inn Aden Hotel Mudgee and the Ilkley Cottages are a few more places worth considering.
You may like to have a look at some alternative places to stay, such as The Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse or the Farmer's Daughter Wines. The former can be found 20 kilometres from the central areas, and the second is 20 kilometres away. If these aren't right for you, we'd recommend you have a look at the Rosby Guesthouse, which is 25 kilometres from town.
If you've been blessed with the wanderlust gene (well duh, you're here right?), then you won't want to miss out on exploring the wider Central New South Wales region. The area is home to some amazing rural landscapes. After staring slack-jawed at nature's masterpieces, check out famous tourist sights like art museums, history museums and art galleries. Eager for more? Common activities in this particular part of Australia include hiking, horse riding and four-wheel driving, so don't be scared to have a crack!
Caviar or corn chips? However you like to roll, you'll sure to love a trip to Mudgee, 25 kilometres away. With the Huntington Estate and the Pieter van Gent Winery & Vineyard to explore, you'll have plenty to keep you busy. If you'd like to spend a night or two in Mudgee, look into the Cobb & Co Court Boutique Hotel and Soldiers Motel. 45 kilometres to the northwest of Lue you'll also find Gulgong, home to the Gulgong Motel and Owl Head Lodge. The Gulgong Pionerrs Museum and the Henry Lawson Centre are some of the most popular points of interest to check out in Gulgong.
Unless you're planning to set up camp at Mudgee Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation. The Mudgee Bed And Breakfast is close by, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 20 kilometres away.
