Firstly, the location was excellent- just a 5 minute walk from some fantastic tapas bars and the cathedral. It was a quiet place to stay and, at night, we all got a great night’s sleep away from traffic noise. The room was clean- towels and bed linen were fresh and good quality and the room was cleaned daily. The pool was a nice addition as was the 20 euro bar credit which allowed us to have a cocktail for free on the roof terrace- a nice touch.
The breakfast was not a buffet as we’d anticipated and, although nice, it was very much the same every day and a bit limited. We much prefer to choose what we like according to our appetite/mood. The staff, whilst polite, were quite indifferent- it took two requests for them to provide a gown and slippers for our son. The room was okay but considering it was a suite and quite expensive, it was a little underwhelming and small.
Overall, a comfortable stay but not one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. If you’re looking a convenient base with a breakfast then this hotel is great but if you’re wanting something a little special then you might have to look elsewhere.
