An additional option is the Isur Llerena, which is a great option if you aren't worried about travelling 25 kilometres to the centre.

Attractions and Hotels Near Llera

If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (well duh, you're here right?), then we're pretty sure you'll want to check out the wider Extremadura region. Outdoorsy types should visit Llera's incredible forests and rivers. A few other gotta-sees are ruins and old towns. If the sun is shining (or even if it's not), also get out there and try out some popular local activities like mountain climbing, hiking and horse riding.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider chilling out a little longer and going to the Zafra Castle and Plaza Grande in Zafra, 30 kilometres to the west of Llera. The Parador de Zafra and Rusticae Hotel Casa Palacio Conde de la Corte are some of the great hotel options here. Alternatively, you could stay in Calamonte, 55 kilometres to the northwest of Llera, where you can pick from the Parador de Mérida and Hotel Ilunion Mérida Palace. You'll find some great visitor attractions in Merida. The National Museum of Roman Art, the Temple of Diana and the Arco de Trajano are our top picks. This regional centre is situated 55 kilometres northwest of Llera and has a population of 56,000.
