Food was excellent, especially the breakfast. Lovely coffee. Grear staff. The only thing that let it down for me was an ouside sensor light that was activated right outside the window and did wake me up. Other than that, it was great 👍

Top class staff friendliness. Fantastic getaway! Sunday lunch was great too.

Firstly the SMELL OF SEWERS was overpowering. Taking freezing cold showers takes a bit getting used to. I had booked 3 nights I was so disgusted with the smell and cold water I checked out after 2 nights I told the Asian man at the reception that he can use the money I paid for the 3rd night to get his Boiler Fixed. Stay if you have more money than sense!

Disappointed that the leasure center and pool were undergoing renovation and we had not been informed of this at the booking stage. We should have been informed by the hotel or Expedia. What compensation will there be for this disappoint.

Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with good ensuite facilities at a great price. Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old.
