I’m surprised this hotel is called a spa hotel, it’s more of a hotel with overpriced treatments, a tiny pool and hot tub. There was only beds too and with a hotel as large as that 2 is crazy.

We arrived late on Thursday evening. We stood at the reception having to press the bell twice before any came to check us in. Stood for 5-6 minutes. When we arrived to our room, the kids sofa bed had not been made and we had no sheets, pillows etc for them. Booking a suite with four persons I would have expected the bed to be made up. The breakfast was really nice.

Lovely hotel . Very comfortable bed . The room was excellent . Breakfast in the morning was also very good, with lots of options . The gym which is available 24 hrs a day was very well equipped and so handy being open all day and night . The swimming pool was also very clean and an ideal start to the day. Excellent hotel and highly recommended!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Facilities were good. However the service for a Marriott hotel were very poor. Ordered eggs for breakfast that never arrived, coffee machine broken, poor welcome. Spa was good, over crowded, and staff didn’t explain anything. Great hotel but very poor staff.

We pre booked a meal in the restaurant only to be told on arrival that there was a conference and the restaurant was closed. We then had snacks in the bar, but on checkout we’re still charged for the full restaurant package. To be fair this was immediately rectified when I pointed out the error. Apart from that the hotel is good as an overnight stop but not a destination in itself.

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights to explore Gloucester and surrounding area. The hotel was in the perfect location on outskirts. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and good size. The hotels amenities were good too including areas to relax and enjoy a drink in the evening.

2 night stay. Very nice hotel, took advantage of the facilities all of which very good. Hotel staff helpful with commuting in and out of Cheltenham via bus links. The only disappointment was the price of breakfast, £17. Coffe was poor and from a machine. Personally I’d expect better for the price. Having said this, I enjoyed my stay and would book again when in the area

The hotel was beautiful, evening meal in the restaurant was really nice and enjoyable. Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. Only downside to our stay was that we paid for early check in and when we arrived we were told that our room was not ready so we had to wait an extra half hour to be able to access our room while it was cleaned and prepared. We booked a superior king room and should have had bathrobes available however there was not any. We had to ask three times for these and waited an hour for them. The only reason we got them was because the amazing housekeepers took two out of empty rooms. The pool and jacuzzi are small for the size of the hotel so don’t expect to be able to use the facilities as it does get very busy. Was overall a good stay but would not recommend for a relaxing spa retreat.

Great!

The hotel was lovely and incredibly clean. The staff were great and it was really comfy. The breakfast was lovely, but lack of working coffee machines let it down
