We were placed in the wrong room. This resulted in a call coming from the front desk at about 11PM requesting that we move to a different room. We accommodated. This was inconvenient because we had already settled in the room for a 2-3 hours--we unpacked completely, took a shower, and were in bed for the night when the call came. We had to get dressed, re-pack, return to the front desk to get a different key to settle into our new room. The key didn't work initially when we went to our new room, however they resolved this promptly. Staff was friendly and apologetic, however I feel that a partial refund should have been offered. The hotel was unusually expensive because it was NYE. I would not give such a poor review if a 50% refund had been offered. It wasn't. Currently, there are two $20 holding fees "pending" on my credit card for both rooms. I'm waiting to see if that will resolve itself, but may have to call so that I'm not charged incorrectly/additionally. The breakfast crew was not sufficiently staffed leading to a long wait for food to be restocked.
I like to think I'm a reasonable person, and overall the staff was professional, but I just wish it was a different experience and that a refund had been offered. The rooms were otherwise clean and nice.
