Lama Winery Accommodation

Firstly I’ll give the positives: The rooms clean and the bed comfortable. Locations good. Not so positives: Entry; I wasn’t sure how we were to gain entry as I’d received a message a couple of days before re getting there before 7pm. I replied to it but got no response. We’d planned walking from the station but had to get a taxi. It cost 20€! (5 mins) Not because it’s far but because we had to get there by 7pm. Arrive to locked door, no instructions. A neighbour told me to call so I did. They opened the door electronically, but we did panic for a few minutes. As the door opened we see stairs…thankfully we travel light because we wouldn’t have been able to drag our cases up to the 2nd floor. The stairs are very deep too. We’d booked a superior room. Nothing really wrong with the room except the word superior…it’s not. Door handle fell off which was fixed the next day, curtains coming off the rail, the bedside boxes weren’t by the bed, and they’re pretty heavy.

Wonderful place. Super friendly on arrival and made sure we had a place to park. Great recommendations on what to do in Taranto. They made everything easy. Room was beautiful and comfortable, the terrace was lovely. Breakfast was also great. I wish we had been able to stay more than one night. Taranto is a fascinating city. The hotel is in the historic city, but at the edge, so it made arriving and parking easier. Easy walk to everywhere, including MARTA. The trattoria close by served excellent and very fresh (directly off the boat) fish. Highly recommend!

The Best Western in Massafra is a beautiful facility as it has only been open for a few months and everything is well cared for and gorgeous. I spent several hours working in the lobby area and found a nice little place to call home to get some serious work done.It also helped that there was a cappuccino bar with yummy pastries, and in the evening a bar for your first drink. The staff are amazing, courteous, and kind, and very attentive to your needs. From the moment you set foot into the hotel to the time you leave you feel as though you’re at home..

Check in was quite easy and they offered an early check in, our rooms were rear by 1pm when we arrived. Room is nice, bathroom a little outdated

The hotel in a good area, easy bus, food, shopping access. Staff is helpful, hotel is clean.

Beautiful hotel. We had a room with a sea view. It was large and came with a fridge with complimentary drinks. They greet you with a welcome drink and sent us away with a regional bottle of wine. And, breakfast was spectacular with made to order selections.
