Our stay at the abbey was mediocre. The ice machine didn’t work, the garbages in the hallways pulled up, room service trays in hall way for hours. The property is not wheelchair or stroller friendly beware. Our room was not cleaned the second day of our stay. Just sub par.

The Abbey is the perfect little getaway. That side of the lake is nice and quiet, compared to the craziness of the downtown area. We were able to walk for ice cream, dinner, and the beach all from the hotel's front steps. We will be coming back.

It was our last weekend as a family before all the hustle of school starting. We are a very busy family of six. We stayed Sunday night into Monday night in Bldg 7. Let me tell you, the noise of the lawn blowers, saws (sounded like saws), and whatever else was going on from 6:45/7 am - until I about 8:45, was awful!! I had a splitting headache from the constant drilling, or blowing, or construction - it was horrible. It was your way of getting us to get up and leave, you succeeded. I absolutely love the Abbey, but I will honestly second guess a second trip. Super bummed and super sleepy.
