You should always know where the closest natural escape lies. Here, it's Zadielska valley, 40 kilometres out of Kysak.

Nothing compares to the atmosphere of a live soccer game! Watch the MFK Košice lock horns with the opposition on their home turf at Lokomotiva Stadium, a terrific venue 13 kilometres away in Kosice.

There's nothing like rising with the sun and carving through fresh, fluffy snow at Strbske Pleso. Once you've explored all the trails there, pack up your snowboard or skis and continue onwards to Mount Kasprowy Wierch Ski Resort.

There's even more to see and do just down the road. Košická Belá, 9 kilometres to the southwest, is known for Jahodna Ski Resort and the Bankov. Though, if St. Elisabeth Cathedral and Hlavna Ulica sound better to you, travel 9 kilometres southeast from Kysak to Budimír.

Whether it's for shopping or to explore the sights, visitors often take a day trip to Kosice, 15 kilometres to the south.
