My dad and I had a wonderful stay at the Dhawa Yura. Our rooms were very comfortable and quiet (slept really well!) and the staff were very helpful. Lovely breakfast and spa. And the location worked perfectly for us - lots to walk to and right by the subway and Keihan line.

Where to begin, they're part of the Banyan group so you expect a level of service and luxury and Dhawa Yura did not disappoint. A beatutiful hotel and space in general. Every single part of this hotel is planned and well thought out. From the entrance, to the complimentary mini lounge with tea/coffee/candy. Rooms were good, while not massive, but not tiny compared to other hotels. The bed was HUGE, and a smaller tatami mat area acts as your mini chill lounge section. Amentiees are top tier with everything available, including facial kits, pyjamas, pillow menu, and immaculate in finishes and maintenance. Breakfast was good too. While they dont have much halal options, there is a fair share of vegetarian dishes such as eggs, fruits, salads, rice, cereals, yoghurts and some breads. Front desk service was warm, friendly and very helpful with our luggage transfers. Hotel location is perfect. Literally next to the Sanjo metro station, and about 5 to 10 minute walk to the shopping district, 10 to 15minute walk to the gion historical area and also short walk to the musuems. Highly recommended for location, service and value for money.

The breakfast bar was nice, probably could have had a little more selection for the price. The bar was nice with a great selection of drinks and ambiance. Staff was super helpful, hotel it in amazing condition.

What stood out was the service, from the manger Jimmy greeting us as we arrived to all of the front desk staff. Winnie and Timothy stood out for their hospitality and warmth. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine for my wife , myself and our 7 year old son . Great shower after a busy day of sightseeing. Location is 3 minutes from a train station that can take you anywhere. I would recommend staying here and if we were to return to Kyoto sound stay here again .

I had a wonderful stay. Hotel rooms seems newly renovated , larger than usual Japanese hotel rooms. Very comfortable mattress, they even supply buckwheat pillow at your request. Breakfast is very tasty and has multiple choices, including traditional, European and Japanese options. Stuff is very helpful, they even helped me to arrange the transfer of my luggage to Kyoto. Centrally located and walkable distance to many tourist destinations. Metro station is next door.

What a beautiful hotel! wonderful staff, double twin bed room was enough space for 2 adults, small gym but functional and served its purpose, train station is right next to the hotel Next time in Kyoto, we will definitely stay here. Loved our stay. Our only “complaint” is we only stayed for one night, we wish we stayed longer
