The stay at Amanek Kyoto Hotel was great, the staff was very kind and helpful, on our last day they helped us to arrange a taxi to get to the station. The location of the hotel is pretty convenient, with konbini and food stores nearby. There are also a couple of bus lines a few meters away. The hotel has an Eco friendly policy, they do a full clean up every 3 days. The room was confortable, the beds have some space underneath to store luggage, we were able to store 2 big luggage without any issue. We didn't reserve with breakfast, so I don't know the food quality. However, they offered free drinks in the afternoon and you can use the dinner space to eat your own food. As a summary, I recommend this hotel!

Staff were very friendly and area is nice. However the room smelled strongly like body odor as soon as we walked in and stayed the entire time. Pillows are extremely stiff and uncomfortable, and beds were not made the last day. The 3 person room does not have enough room for 3 large bags. Hotel also does not provide water in the room, you have to go to the second floor to refill your own bottles.

Its has much space than our hotel in Osaka. The bathroom was perfect- love the rain shower. The hotel is next to 7 eleven which is very convenient for us...everyday konbini experience. Very clean and lots of good amenities. I love the in house onsen experience. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends who will visit Kyoto.
