We were given the most remote and isolated room in the hotel. They explained that it’s related to Xpedia, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened on our trip. I specifically requested a hotel with a private beach, and instead, I received a room that technically belongs to the hotel but is ‘in a different neighborhood.

Beautiful rooms with spectacular bathroom. Balcony looked over a courtyard and faced a wall which was disappointing. Had hoped for sea or pool view. Staff really lovely. Service a tad slow but think that’s just the way of life here. Lovely beach and pool area, if only we hadn’t had so much rain! I would definitely recommend and come back as overall it was lovely.

I stayed at another 5 star rated resort on the island before coming to here. The other one outshines this one in multiple ways. This one was a bit run down (wear and tear everywhere on the public grounds). For example one beach towel had gross blood stains on it. However the staff is very friendly and nice as all Thai people are on the island. The only great thing about the resort is the spa. Everything else was meh. Beach had seaweed. Pool area constantly had leaves in the pool and floor. Basically didn’t feel comfortable or as clean as the last place I did which had excellence in all categories.

I would look elsewhere..

Beautiful property that would've gotten my 5 if it were only for the luxuries and beauty! Private plunge pool water was cold to not be able to step in, pretty much wasted money there! Wall lizards in the rooms, on the cabinets, amidst my suitcase and in and around the coffee machine trays. The restaurant is ill equipped with knowledgeable or live counter staff. Gotta order and keep waiting endlessly until a wrong item is brought to the table followed by 3-4 different staff showing up to ask what was ordered. The egg counter person was clueless on a sunny side vs over easy! The simplest of them all, the ‘forever’ English tea - watered down to a light pale color which too shows up only after finishing off everything else and a determination to keep waiting. We had veg special breakfast ordered upon checkin for every morning but they dropped the ball on that too on the last day. Never mind that as we managed with other vegetarian stuff around. Overall, a confusion and messy restaurant ‘The Tent’ by the beach with flies, ants and mosquitoes! Room service staff was great though and they took care of out needs. Will explore other places next time as lizards is the last thing I want in my suitcase heading back home!
