Book Kobata hotels

The onsen spa and views from the hotel room were fantastic! The rooms could use a little improvement. Ours was a non-smoking room, but it had a lingering smoke odor, and the mattresses could use updating. We really enjoyed the use of the electric bikes and loved the little fishing village atmosphere. Staff was very helpful.

Very clean and good breakfast. There are not too many restaurants around the hotel.

The staff had zero inviting mode. No smile, no sign of happiness. The whole place felt like a routine operation, didn't feel any warmth. Pool was not usable. No other places nearby, so you are bound to have their pricey meal option. And that too, needs to be reserved and time bound. At night the whole place lit up with many LEDs though, kids of other guests ran around. Amenities were just OK. The rooms were clean, but many things are old and worn out in the room. Honestly, it felt like staying in a business hotel in city, not a relaxing resort type.

Kaiseki dinner food was terrible. The meat was so tough and didn’t have any flavor. All four of us commented during dinner that the food was not good.

A unique experience. An entire hotel room in a shipping container! Seriously, it’s great fun, great value and the staff were more than helpful.
