Australia's capital city, Canberra, is situated about 3,000 kilometres to the east of Kirup.

Keep your eyes peeled for shiny shells to add to your collection back at home or try to spot critters like starfish and sea urchins at Preston Beach and Back Beach. You'll find these attractive strips of coastline 95 kilometres and 50 kilometres away, respectively.

The comforting sounds of nature await you at Wellington Dam. It lies just 35 kilometres away, so you don't have to be stuck on the road all day. Bridgetown Visitor Information Centre, 35 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.

Sitting 35 kilometres to the southeast, Bridgetown is a destination with plenty to do. Pioneer Park, Bridgetown Civic and Community Centre and Blackwood River Park are all quite close. Keep in mind, Memorial Park and Bridgedale House are also worthy.
