It’s a convenient distance from unawatuna beach and Galle fort. If you’re only down south for a weekend, or for your first time I highly recommend. Excellent service, great breakfast, calm and pleasant private beach. Beautiful sunsets.

Hotel was excellent. Spacious rooms, excellent amenities, great dining options - but what really made the difference in our stay was Yasara, a guest experience specialist, who was incredible.

Hotel and staff are really friendly ensuring that we had a great stay. Great location right near jungle beach, which the staff offer a free shuttle service to. The breakfast is really nice and the property overlooks great views of Galle lighthouse. PickMe offers cheap Tuk Tuks/taxis to unawatuna/ galle. Overall had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend!

Just Amazing, it was the perfect environment to unwind and relax after a busy couple of weeks. I ended my vacation to Sri Lanka at the Fortress and I loved it. The staff service was exceptional, food was so delicious, I wish I had more room to enjoy more of it!! I can’t wait to come back with my family and friends. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is an amazing resort with amazing ambiance and staff, direct access to the beach and a beautiful pool, we had 5 days of heaven in a villa and could not ask for anything better, everyone soo helpful and welcoming, bed super comfortable, food delicious, very central to tuk tuk around to the beaches to explore, great restaurants around and loved every moment there

This was a beautiful resort - the rooms were spacious, impeccably clean and all the staff were friendly and hospitable. The breakfast buffet is yummy and so is the dinner buffet. I liked that there was a pool on the property but also the beach was easily accessible. There was only one concern that came up - the first night I arrived to check in, all the rooms were full and I was unable to get my room on a higher floor as expected. Staff tried their best to be very accommodating and moved me as soon as possible, especially Kalum at the front desk - thank you for helping to sort this out and ensure I had a great stay in Unawatuna.
