Get a ride 80 kilometres southeast and you'll find Kuala Terengganu, a regional centre with a population of 290,000. While you're in this neck of the woods, get your tourist on at the Maziah Palace, the Zainal Abidin Mosque and Bukit Puteri. If you've got time to spare, keep the good time rolling at Central Market and Pasar Payang. The Duyong Marina & Resort and Primula Beach Hotel are a couple of places to stay in Kuala Terengganu.

Unless you're going to sleep on the floor at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation. The Menara One Hotel is not too far away, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 55 kilometres away.
