Life in the big city taking its toll? Pretty sure a change of scenery and a bit of greenery would put a smile on your dial again? Then whisk yourself away to Kampung Budi and mellow out among the lush rural landscapes of Kedah.

It's located 360 kilometres to the north of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

Does a coastal stroll sound tempting? Spend some time at Tanjung Rhu Beach or Langkawi Beach.

Located 17 kilometres away, Darul Aman Stadium is a favourite for soccer devotees. Pack a few pieces of yellow and green, and time your stay with a live game featuring the home team, the Kedah FA. You can also throw your support behind the second home team, the Kuala Muda Naza F.C.

Be sure to go to other close-by sights, such as Balai Besar and the Wat Nikrodharam. These are situated 10 kilometres west in Langgar. Don't want to call it a day just yet? The Paddy Museum and Alor Setar Tower are in Alor Setar, 17 kilometres to the west of Kampung Budi.
