The hosts and location, wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay at the Aeolos Hotel. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and the staff were a 10/10. They provided complimentary pick up and drop off at the ferry port.

We loved our stay at Nysis. The rooms were well appointed, quiet and spotlessly clean. The gardens and pool area were lovely - perfect for a bit of sunbathing, reading or just sitting with a cold glass of wine. The location is convenient for both the beaches and restaurants and the port, from which the boat taxi can take you to the beaches further around the island. But what really elevates this hotel is the people. All of the staff were super friendly and Panos (the owner) and Maria could not do enough to help. The complementary transfer from the port to the hotel was also most welcome. If we ever return to Koufonisia, I know where will be staying.

When you are met with a serendipity it is hard to find the words to explain how wonderful it is…I guess that’s why it’s a serendipity, because it’s unexpected. This was not just about the location, the peace and quiet of the island, but about the staff who became family! Alexandro’s is the manger and cook and do it all man, Sophia was our wonderful waitress, Grigorios our driver and everything guy and Eleftheria our very sweet housekeeper. To say we fell in love with each of them would be an understatement. Their care for the guests was top knotch and truly had a family feel. Breakfasts on site for a fee was the highlight of every day! The menu is small, but the food is delicious and the coffee was perfection!! Never have we felt more cared for in all of our travels around the world. Amorgian Village was a short ride from Katapoli and about 30 minutes from Aegeali which is where we came in by ferry. Alexandro’s sent a driver who charged 40 euro for the ride to our hotel up steep winding roads… we were grateful for the ride until we figured things out. We were able to rent a car directly from Alexandro’s on site which was definitely a bonus considering our location. There is so much to see on the island we were happy to have a car. Our room was at the back which was so lovely, quiet and private. We had lots of seating options both in and outside our suite. The pool was sparkling clean and a wonderful temperature.

A fantastic boutique hotel at a beautiful location in front of an amazing golden sand beach with crystal clear waters. The hotel staff and services were fantastic, the room was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast spread was great and the hotel supplies beach towels and chairs. It is a 20 minute walk from town and 5 minutes walk from the next beautiful beach and then another 5 to the next one over.

Fabulous brand new apartments run by very friendly, efficient and helpful people. Within 2-3 minutes walk of the supermarket, restaurants, bakery and the beach. Excellent all round, we highly recommend!
