We had no hot water for 2 nights of our 3 night stay. Communication was very poor. It wasn’t just our room. I think it was a hotel wide issue. We were offered $100 off our room rate for the two nights. Just about fair but I had to write to the duty manager to get a serious response. Once he got involved the experience was improved.

Beautiful but with Problems

We chose this hotel because of its excellent location in the French Quarter and also because of its historical significance. The hotel was beautiful but there were several inconveniences we endured. At least 1 elevator was out of order our whole stay. The hot water boiler broke and the hotel was without water for at least 12 hours. The city sanitation system had a shut down and we couldn’t drink tap water for a day and a half. The last inconvenience was not the fault of the hotel but compounded our discomfort. The hotel did provide as much bottled water as we needed.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From the lovely marble floors and the cozy rooms and great beds, the hot water and nice shower, I have never been happier in a little home outside of my own! 10/10 stars for staff, service, and room quality!

THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE, COMFORTABLE BED AND GREAT SHOWER. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE ELEVATORS THEY NEVER WORKED CORRECTLY AND THE TIMES FOR GETTING UP AND DOWN WERE LONG.
